Consultation findings Thank you to everyone that was able to complete a survey regarding the initial Starship trial that happened 30th November 2022-4th March 2023. During the initial period 420 people got in touch to have their say on Starship Technologies’ delivery robots being introduced in the areas of Adel and Tinshill in Leeds.
After most of the public feedback received was positive, Leeds City Council has agreed to extend the trial in the same area. Starship Technologies will continue operations in the original catchment zone, and we will keep the survey open to continue to gather feedback.

When asked ‘How do you feel about the introduction of automated food delivery robots in the area?’ 76.6% of respondents voted either very happy or happy, showing a majority positive sentiment to introducing the robots into the area.

When asked ‘How safe do you think the robots are using routes with people on them?’ 74.1% of respondents voted either very safe or safe, showing a majority positive sentiment to the safety of robots using routes with people on them.

How far do you support the introduction of the service in other areas of Leeds?
When asked ‘How far do you support the introduction of the service in other areas of Leeds?’ 75.2% of respondents voted either very supportive or supportive, showing a majority positive sentiment to introducing the robots to other areas of Leeds.
